What it's like to work at George Davies

George Davies is a great place to work and learn. I trained here, and have been working here as a qualified solicitor for almost a year. There is a friendly atmosphere and the firm really do strive to make everybody feel part of the team.

My experience/ cases of note

During my time in Commercial Litigation, I have assisted on a wide variety of cases, which include defamation, contract disputes, discrimination and professional negligence. In addition, I have undertaken debt recovery and enforcement cases, where I have used various methods to recover debts for clients.

I now specialise in Insolvency work, and have assisted on cases acting for both Insolvency Practitioners and individuals. I have been involved in the legal aspects of administrations, bankruptcies and liquidations, have assisted in an Applications to Court for permission to use a prohibited name, assisted on a claim on behalf of administrators seeking to recover nearly £2million misappropriated by a director, and dealt with negotiations to have a Statutory Demand set aside.

What I do when I'm not at work

I enjoy horse riding, skiing (when I get the chance) and going to the gym. I love travel and visiting new places with friends and family.
