The Joshua Tree and CP Sport
This year we decided to support two very different charities. Firstly, The Joshua Tree, a charity aiming to build and run a holiday house and support centre in Cheshire, where children with a life threatening illness can come with their families for a free short break
They have identified a suitable site and await confirmation of planning consent shortly. The site will comprise a number of self contained holiday units together with the administration centre of the charity.
Secondly, CP Sport England & Wales, which is a charity dedicated to providing sporting opportunities enabling those with cerebral palsy to fulfil their potential. They provide training, support and competition for swimming, athletics, football and disability specific sports from grass roots level to Paralympic medalists - and everything in between.
Planned events for this year are continuing the sporting theme with staff taking part in the BUPA Manchester 10K on 15th May and the Great North Swim in Windermere on 18th/19th June, together with the return of our popular football tournament. We are also hoping to hold a family fun day in late June/early July with a "school sports day" theme - see the finest legal minds in Manchester battling for egg and spoon glory!

Later in the year we are hoping to organise a ladies' fashion evening, a comedy night and, in the New Year, the big Quiz.
