Peachy New Deals!

The Real Estate and Property Finance Team at George Davies LLP have advised longstanding client Peach, on the acquisition of four new gastro pubs in the last twelve months.

The deals include the £2.85m acquisition of the freeholds of the Rose & Crown in Warwick and the Swan in Milton Keynes from Punch Taverns and the acquisition of the Almanack and the Thatch.

Peach was established up in 2002. The pub company tends to take run-down, unloved pubs and turn them into award-winning places where guests can relax and enjoy restaurant quality food and drink at pub prices. Peach is all about ethical sourcing, caring for the environment, supporting local enterprise, rewarding its people and having fun at work. Peach is not about creating the biggest pub chain in the world – the company is more interested in perfection on a small scale. Regulars love their Peach pub because it has its own character rather than being part of a fake plastic pub chain. Peach has picked up a clutch of awards for its food, service and for how it looks after its people including MA Top 100 Best Food Offer, the National Customer Service Awards and the Best Places to Work in Hospitality Awards in the last year.

Peach currently have 10 pubs based from Warwick to the South but have keen plans to expand into the North.

Sam Mason, a solicitor at George Davies, commented “It’s pleasing to have such an acquisitive client in the current market. It’s even better for that client to be Peach who are exciting to work for and are very committed to delivering such a high quality experience to their customers. I can’t wait for them to open up in the North West as I can see their concept is very refreshing.”
