More Tender Success for George Davies
The Public Sector team at Manchester law firm George Davies has been appointed The North West Legal Consortium’s legal services panel following a five month tendering exercise.
George Davies will provide advice on commercial conveyancing and major IT and commercial contracts to the Consortium’s 25 members which are made up of a number of local Councils (including Stockport MBC, Bolton MBC, Wigan MBC and Liverpool MBC) along with Merseytravel and Merseyside Police Authority. It is open to other authorities to join the Consortium, subject to paying an administrative fee.
The panel, which is made up of 31 law firms and 26 barristers chambers will be granted a contract for four years with an option to extend for a further two.
Senior Partner Anne Fairhurst, who heads up the Public Sector team at George Davies commented “As a Manchester firm it is great to be appointed as advisors to a North West based consortium. We are on the panel alongside national firms such as Addleshaw Goddard and DLA which highlights the quality and experience of our Public Sector specialists. This “win” follows hot on the heels of our success with the NHS North West Collaborative Commercial Agency tender. We are now approved legal advisors on two key public sector framework agreements in the North West.”
