George Davies offers a Helping Hand

This month sees the launch of George Davies Solicitors Helping Hand Care Directory and Helpline.

The Helping Hand Care Directory is the brainchild of partner Tony Hall who heads up the Wills Probate and Inheritance Tax Team at GD. Tony comments “following the sudden news that my elderly widowed mother was confined to bed after a fall and needed immediate help and almost certainly some level of constant care going forward I realised that this was going to be a drastic lifestyle change for her and the family as a whole but there was no one source of information or organisation for us to turn to.

This inspired me to put together a Directory that would help others in similar situations. The Directory addresses issues such as home care packages, finding appropriate accommodation, help with finances and benefits, legal issues and a variety of other matters. “

The Directory is a one stop shop and can be used by elderly clients and people who care for elderly relatives or friends. It is backed up by a telephone helpline which gives immediate access to experienced lawyers at George Davies who can offer help and guidance.
