George Davies ‘Fearless Five’ face the Professional Footballers’ Association in fundraising football final!

The five-a-side team from leading Manchester law firm George Davies went head to head with the players from the Professional Footballer’s Association in the final round of the 4th Annual George Davies 5-a-side charity football tournament.

The Professional Footballers’ Association took home the trophy with a respectable 1-0 win. However, the real winners of the day were chosen charities CP Sport and The Joshua Tree who will share over £1,600 which was raised at the tournament.Winners of the 4th Annual 5-A-Side tournament - PPF
The partners and staff at George Davies are committed to helping local charities and good causes, and have set up the George Davies Foundation to help concentrate charitable efforts throughout the firm and maximise funds raised year on year. The 5-a-side tournament is one of many events organised each year.

 
Other activities include; a monthly ‘bake-off’ where departments take turns to showcase their baking skills to the rest of the workforce and sell savories and cakes for donations; dress-down Fridays; sponsored runs; and various George Davies social events. Over £40,000 has been raised since 2008 for a variety of local charities including; Derian House Children’s Hospice; The Mustard Tree and the Prince’s Trust.

George Davies have a number of charitable events happening in the Autumn and Winter including a wine tasting event in November and a pub quiz in January.
