George Davies’ lawyers advise the Halle on new rehearsal premises
Partner Anne Fairhurst and Associate Jennifer Lewis, both of leading Manchester law firm George Davies Solicitors LLP, recently advised the Halle Concerts Society on the proposed development of St Peters Church, Ancoats.
The deal will see the land transferred from the NWDA to the Halle and the church transformed into a bespoke rehearsal space while maintaining the existing church building. It will be the first time the Halle has had its own dedicated space to use for rehearsals in its 150 year history.
George Davies worked closely with commercial property consultants Drivers Jonas Deloitte in advising the Halle while Eversheds acted for the NWDA. Anne Fairhurst said, “It is a privilege to work with the Halle, a much loved Manchester institution and we are looking forward already to seeing the finished building and hearing the orchestra play there.”
