All British Standards that conflict with the Eurocodes will soon be withdrawn. There are more than fifty and a full list is available from BSI, use the link below to find out which ones are affected.
At present UK Building Regulations are expressed in terms of function rather than dictating a national design standard that must be adopted. Given this, withdrawn British Standards can still be used providing the designer can satisfy the authority that the approach satisfies the Building Regulations.
